Albert Chan, Senior VP of Growth & Client Services & Regional Managing Director Japan

Albert Chan has been an external member of the KT Board of Directors since 2012 and the regional managing director of KT Southeast Asia since 2009.

Albert has the global responsibility for Growth & Client Services. He heads a team of consultants that collaborate with clients in Service KPI Improvement, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Improvement, Six Sigma/Lean Improvement, and Strategy Formulation and Implementation.

Albert joined KT in 1999 as a management consultant. He has since led or worked on many large-scale assignments for KT clients including Corning, Shell, Exxon Mobil, BlueScope Steel, Ann Joo Steel, Singapore Telecom, Wyeth, Keppel Shipyard, Wipro, Moeller and Tenaga.

Prior to joining KT, Albert was group project manager of a Singapore-based organization where he reported to the Board of Directors and worked in corporate governance and corporate planning. He also led merger, acquisition and joint venture activities in Singapore, India, Indonesia and Bangladesh. Before that, he was a senior consultant with one of the big-five international consulting firms, reporting to the senior consulting manager of the Strategy Management Group. He provided business planning, due diligence and quality management consulting services.

As regional manager, Albert travels throughout Asia and is based in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. He is frequently invited as seminar speaker in Asia and beyond. Albert has a business degree and an MBA.
